The Number 3 (Three) Worksheets

Learning to trace and write the number 3 correctly is an important step in developing early handwriting and number-writing skills. To write the number 3, begin at the top and draw a small curved line to the right, then continue smoothly into a second curved line below the first without lifting the pencil, creating two rounded curves that form the shape of the number 3.

Making both curves even and smooth helps produce a neat and recognizable number. It is also important to hold the pencil with the correct pen grip by placing it comfortably between the thumb and index finger while supporting it with the middle finger. The pencil should be held gently, not too tightly or too loosely, to allow better control and reduce hand fatigue. Sitting with good posture and placing the paper at a comfortable angle also make writing easier and more accurate. Tracing and rewriting the number 3 several times help strengthen fine motor skills, improve pencil control, and build muscle memory.
